It’s a 77 280Z. I’m the 3rd owner. It has been in AZ its whole life, sold
by a dealer in Scottsdale.
I recently had the engine rebuilt (thanks Gary!):
EFI replaced with the Arizona Z Car 4-bbl manifold and Holley 390.
New P-79 flat top pistons
Schneider 274/274 cam, springs, rockers
Arizona Z Car 6-1 headers, lightened steel flywheel
Spec Stage 2 clutch
A/C has been removed
It still needs the suspension and interior redone.
We’ll end up having it painted copper.
We also have a set of Konig rims that are waiting to get rubber.

Ron (ZX4RNR)
I purchased my 1991 Nissan 300XZ normally aspirated (Z32) on 11/27/90 from Surfside Nissan in Oceanside, CA. Manufactured 8/90, as a 2-seat coupe in KH2 dark gray metallic, automatic, black leather seats, dark gray cloth panels, driver’s airbag (opt. 1991) and T-tops. It has 131,XXX miles to date and has original finish except for nose and side skirts (aftermarket add-ons). Always garaged and is my daily drive. In the summer of 2000, I made a command decision to drive it forever and started doing things that I should have done many years ago. I’m 66 and it helps keep me young. We have been in several HPCCC events together. It took 2nd at the 2003 Indy Z-Car Club Show in Z32 daily drive class, only show ever entered. The engine is stronger than ever (partly due to mods and a new wiring harness) and the body still has no rattles. Estimating 250-255 + bhp at crank (Stillen chart).
