Mt.
Lemmon / Sabino Canyon Run
Saturday,
March 25th
We’ve
got an event set up with the in Tucson Z club Saturday
March 25th. We plan to caravan to Tucson and meet up
with them. Our plans are to meet at the Cracker Barrel
parking lot on the corner of I-10 and Chandler Blvd
at 7:15 AM and leave at 7:30 AM. Here are the directions
and plans once we get to Tucson:
We will meet
up with the Tucson club at a McDonald’s.
To McDonald's
(meeting place) Approx 10 AM
- From I-10
take the Grant exit
- Take
a left on Grant and go under the I-10 overpass heading
east
- Follow
Grant east about 8 miles
- Take
a left on Tanque Verde
- Follow
Tanque Verde for about 3.5 miles
- Take
a left on Catalina Hwy and the McDonalds will be immediately
on your right
Then we drive
to Mt Lemmon:
To Mt Lemmon:
- From McDonald's
parking lot, take a right back onto Catalina Hwy
- Follow
Catalina Hwy for about 4 miles
- Catalina
Hwy turns into Mt. Lemmon Hwy
- Mt Lemmon
Hwy is the only road up the mountain
- Follow
Mt. Lemmon Hwy for about 25 miles up the mountain
to Summerhaven
The Iron
Door restaurant is at the top in the town of Summerhaven.
After Mt
Lemmon is Sabino Canyon........$5 to get in..............
