DZA /Tucson Z club Pima Air Run / Dinner

On March 10th, DZA will be going to the Pima Air Museum in Tucson. This event will be a mutual run and dinner with the Tucson Z Club. The first tours of the museum start at around 10:00 AM.

We will meet at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant at 5022 E Chandler Blvd for an 8:00 AM departure time. (Show up earlier if you want breakfast.) We will have a rest stop at Picacho Peak and continue on to Tucson and the Pima Air Museum.

To make things uniform for various times required to tour the museum, the dinner is scheduled at 4:00 PM at El Charro Restaurant at Wilmont and Broadway. This will allow ample time for all viewers at the museum.

There are two options for the tour. The tour cost is $11.50 per person for the walking tour with a group of 20 or more. If we take the tram tour then the cost goes up an additional $5.00.

Please RSVP as soon as possible so we can have time to make changes as needed. We must let the museum know how big our group is and determine if they will need to have an extra tour guide for our group. We will meet and collect the money for admission and pay at the same time to get the group price; if we pay individually it will be $13.50 per person.

Tram Tours:
See the history of aviation from World War II to the present on a narrated tour of the outdoor aircraft displays at the Pima Air & Space Museum. You will see more than 160 fighters, bombers, transports and civil aircraft including NASA's huge Super Guppy oversize transport, the world's only collection of three giant B-52 bombers, the SR-71 Blackbird and many more. Narration on the hour-long tour is provided by the museum's experienced docents, who will share their personal stories of service with many of the aircraft on display. Tram tour tickets cost an additional $5.00 per person. Trams depart daily at 10:00 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM, and 3:00 PM.

Walking Tours (approx. 1 1/2 hours):
This tour covers the exhibits in Hangars one, three and four and takes about one and one half hours. The tour starts in Hangar one and is included in your admission price. Current tour times: 10:15 AM & 11:45 AM
