Las Vegas - September 23-25 2005

We are continuing to finalize the plans for the Las Vegas "Z Cars of the West Coast" event being held 23-25 September, 2005. Here is the latest information, including the hotel information:

• Friday, September 23rd
  • 9:30 AM – Meet on the north side of town – Location is still TBD
  • 10:00 AM – Leave for Las Vegas
  • Stop in Kingman for lunch – Location TBD
  • 3:00 PM (approx) – Arrive Las Vegas Hilton Hotel
  • 7:00 PM Meet at In ‘n Out Burger for Meet ‘n Greet (all clubs)
    Address is 2900 W. Sahara, which is 2-3 miles from the Hilton
  • NOTE: Details of the drive to Vegas will be finalized when we meet at 9:30.

• Saturday, September 24th
  • 8:00 AM – Leave Hilton for Shelby Factory
  • 9:00 AM – Tour of Shelby Factory
  • 10:30 AM (approx) – Depart for Valley of Fire. After we leave the Shelby Factory, we will drive about 30 miles to the Valley of Fire turn off. We will stop and regroup at the turn off. There is an Indian smoke shop / fireworks / convenience store. Entrance to the state park is $5.00 per car.
  • X:xx PM – Stop for lunch - No eateries are inside the park, so plan to bring something to drink and eat. I understand there are some vending areas outside the park, so we may stop at one before entering the park
  • Speed limit is strictly enforced inside the park
  • X:xx PM - Drive to Lake Las Vegas
  • X:xx PM – dinner – location TBD
     
• Sunday, September 25th
  • 8:00 AM (approx) – Meet for breakfast at the Hilton
  • 10:00 (approx) – Say our goodbyes and depart for home

NOTES:

• I'm currently working to secure reserved parking for all participants. I'll provide details later
• For those staying at the hotel, I’m working to get breakfast coupons for Sunday provided when you check in on Friday.

GUEST ROOM AND SUITE RATES

Single or Double Occupancy
$99.00 per guest room, per night

Additional Person - $30.00 per night

The rates are subject to a room tax of 9%.

RESERVATIONS
Everyone will be responsible for making their own reservations by calling the LAS VEGAS HILTON direct at 800-732-7117. When calling, ask for the rooms reserved for the "Z Cars of the West Coast/SVZCARC" group. These reservations must be made no later than September 02, 2005, 5:00pm PST.

All room reservations called in under the group block will require a first night's room and tax advance deposit to guarantee accommodations. The Las Vegas Hilton accepts checks and all major credit cards for deposits. All credit cards used to prepay will be charged immediately. Advance individual reservation deposits are completely refundable if canceled more than seventy-two (72) hours prior to arrival.

CHECK IN / CHECK OUT TIMES
The Las Vegas Hilton's check-in time is 3:00 PM.
Check out time is 12:00 Noon. Arrivals before 3:00 P.M. will be accommodated as rooms become available. The Las Vegas Hilton's bell captain can arrange to check baggage for guests arriving early if rooms are unavailable and for guests attending functions on departure day. Guest rooms must be registered to an adult 21 years of age or older. Photo ID will be required upon check in.

All guests will be responsible for their own room, tax, and incidental charges.

Remember to make your hotel reservation early.

There are at least 4 other Z clubs that are attending this event. This promises to be a fun weekend, so make your plans early.
